Jamie Fitzgerald

Jamie Fitzgerald is an adventurer, an explorer, and one of the presenters of TV One’s First Crossings. He was the first ever Kiwi to reach the South Pole unsupported on foot, with fellow adventurer Kevin Biggar, and holds the world record for crossing the 5000km Atlantic Ocean in a tiny rowboat.

Jamie has also opened the door to adventure for thousands of people. In 2011, Jamie managed the design and delivery of training to 7000+ Rugby World Cup volunteers tasked with delivering a ‘uniquely New Zealand’ customer experience. One of his favourite campaigns, ‘The Big Walk,’ included thousands of young Kiwis having adventurous, learning-based experiences throughout New Zealand. The campaign ended with participants, Ministers and CEOs spending two days helping create a strategy to combat New Zealand’s negative youth statistics.

Jamie is currently the CEO of Inspiring Performance, where he works with a range of corporations in the areas of strategy, change management and leadership.
